Rollins to play in AF2

Waco Thunder running back Freddie Rollins, a former standout at McGregor High School and Mary Hardin-Baylor, has signed to play for the Bossier City Battlewings of the AF2.
Rollins, who is the first Thunder player to be picked up by a pro team, will report to the team in March to begin practice for the 2008 season.
In 2002 as a senior at McGregor, Rollins was District 21-2A co-MVP and a Super Centex selection at linebacker as well as a 1,000-yard rusher in his senior season at McGregor.
At UMHB, he put up more than 1,000 yards as a sophomore in 2004 and finished his career last season by falling just shy of the 1,000-yard mark but scored 13 touchdowns.
